A medication canister is inserted into the body of the Sports-haler the same way as when using the old style asthma puffer. The Sports-haler is the sealed with a flexible end cap. When needed the mouthpiece is opened by twisting it, allowing the mouthpiece to extend out.The Sports-haler is the used the same as old style puffers by pressing the end cap to release a metered dose. After use, the mouthpience is retracted with a twist action, and forms a protection seal.
